We got a brand new netbook in the office today, replacing our old one which was a little behind the times. The new one is nothing fancy – a standard ASUS Eee PC 1005HA with average specs. As it started up into Windows, I knew exactly how I wanted to test it out – with Ghost Pirates.

The unique thing about Ghost Pirates is that it has no paylines. Instead, winning combos are read from left to right, and can follow any path across the reels. Choosing how many “Bet Ways” the slot offers will change the initial bet. A max bet spin gives 243 ways to win, while a single-coin bet only offers 3 ways to win.
The game offers Wild and Scatter tokens for a little something extra. The Wilds offer straightforward substitutions, but the Scatter can launch up to 25 free spins, all with a 3x multiplier.
