Microgaming's Cyberstud Poker is as pure as the game gets. It is a simple game of five card stud, and the goal is to wager on whether or not your hand is better than the dealer's. It looks great, plays great, and pays even better!
Gameplay starts with an ante bet. The deal consists of the player getting a hand of five straight cards, and the dealer getting a single up card. Players then bet on the strength of their hand, hoping to beat the dealer (who needs an Ace+King to qualify). If the player's hand wins, they are paid out depending on how good their hand is – up to 1000:1 for a Royal Flush. There is also an option to fold, and interestingly, players get to see the rest of the dealer's hand even if they fold.

After making my web browser full-screen (basically essential when playing on a netbook), the game was the perfect size. I didn't experience any delays at all caused by card animations, which is sometimes a problem when gambling on a netbook. This is fortunate, since I didn't see any options to turn them off.
